Sunderland care home Residents enjoy afternoon tea with a filmResidents at HC-One’s Falstone Manor care home in Sunderland recently enjoyed an afternoon tea whilst watching a good old-fashioned film on TV.

Falstone Manor Residents, Joan and Margaret, who have been friends in the home for quite a while, finally enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea together after restrictions eased in the home. Joan and Margaret enjoyed an afternoon tea which consisted of some tasty scones, with butter and jam, some sandwiches with cucumber, cheese, ham and tomatoes as well as some crisps and some hot tea.

Margaret, a Resident at Falstone Manor said: “I feel really cosy and relaxed, it’s been so nice.”

Joan and Margaret then watched Casablanca which ran on into the evening. They both chatted and caught up with each other and reminisced about old times.

Socialising is so important for Residents to engage in as it increases happiness and reduces anxiety and stress.
