Every HC-One home has dedicated professionals on the team who have expertise in providing personalised wellbeing support. They understand how to help people to continue to have a purpose, feel a sense of belonging and to live the best life possible at the different stages of their care journey.
Supporting Choice & Independence
Our Wellbeing teams know how important it is to help people to maintain their dignity and independence even as they need more support from others. They also understand that not everyone is the same so they take the time to find out about each persons individual preferences so they can tailor the support they give. This includes providing food and drink choices that suit different dietary requirements and designing personalised activity programmes that support interests and wider health care needs so people can live the fullest life possible.
Creating A Sense of Purpose
We believe in looking after the whole person by supporting mental as well as physical wellbeing at every stage of their journey. We do this by giving the people in our care to choice to take part in a wide range of social, cultural or leisure activities, independently or with others. This helps to create a real sense of purpose, supports contentment and can reduce anxiety or depression.
Feeling Part of A Community
One of the biggest challenges for elderly people living in their own homes can be is loneliness. Having an active social life and feeling that you are part of a community of like-mined people who know and care about you can make a really positive impact on people's self-worth and happiness. Our care and wellbeing teams have the knowledge and experience to be able to help foster meaningful relationships between like-minded individuals and groups of people in the home, so they have the confidence to socialise and enjoy each others company when they want to.
