Falstone Manor care home Residents enjoy Kings Coronation and cupcakesResidents at Falstone Manor, residential, nursing and nursing dementia care home, in Roker, Sunderland, enjoyed a lovely weekend celebrating the Kings Coronation.

The Coronation celebrations started off with a morning of decorating the care home with many themed items and getting the Kings Coronation display set up at the entrance of the care home.

Residents enjoyed crafting to make crowns to wear whilst watching the Coronation and baking to make cupcakes for the party. The cakes were delicious and were enjoyed by everyone!

On the morning of the Coronation all Residents gathered in the lounges before enjoyed a party held on the afternoon. Families were invited along to enjoy the celebrations and the live entertainment. There was party game, music and lots of laughter!

A lovely buffet was enjoyed by everyone made by the fantastic kitchen team.

Malcolm Bond, one of the Residents who attended the celebrations, said, “I really enjoyed the entertainer and playing the games.”

Julie Merritt, Care Home Manager, remarked, “The entertainer was great, and it was great for the Residents to be able to celebrate such a big event.”
