Lifestyle

Priorslee House Care Home

Food and Nutrition

With an enviable choice of dining venues including our beautifully furnished dining rooms, terraces, cafés and the courtyard garden, Residents can experience an intimate dining experience with family or close friends, a more social experience in our main dining rooms, the privacy of dining in their own bedroom including the ever-popular treat of breakfast in bed or alfresco dining on a sunny day.

Our popular seasonal menus air on the side of Great British Classics with many local recipes featured throughout, but of course we cater for all tastes and there’s always a choice available at all mealtimes. A hearty cooked breakfast is always a popular choice to start the day but there are a wide range of options for those with a smaller appetite.

Heart of the Community

We’re fortunate to be located close to the heart of the community enabling Residents to stay connected with their friends and take advantage of a wide range of local amenities. Aside from this, we promote a varied wellbeing programme featuring a wide range of hobby pursuits and leisure-based activities so that Residents can maintain a sense of fulfilment and fun.

Wellbeing

Sometimes Residents really enjoy getting involved in the day to-day running of the home; whether it’s helping in the garden, laying up the dining room table, arranging some flowers, delivering Residents’ post, helping in the café or even helping to organise an event of some entertainment in the home.

Some Residents prefer to take part in organised group activities which might include a little light exercise, a cookery session, arts and crafts, indoor planting and some enjoy indulging themselves in hair and beauty treatments. Some Residents may prefer to live their lives more privately and independent of others; the idea of the wellbeing programme is to help Residents achieve whatever it is that gives them their own personal sense of wellbeing.
