Residents at
Windsor Court care home in Goole were thrilled for Zumba to be back for the first time in a while.
Zumba instructor Laura Holt, returned to the 77-beds, residential, nursing and residential dementia care home for some well-deserved fun.
Residents both old and new got together and were all ready to start the session in the lounge.
Laura is great with the Residents and plays lots of songs they recognise. The music is tailored to their preferences. They dance along to songs such as Singing in the Rain and When I’m Cleaning Windows.
The Residents favourite song of the day was Que Sera, they boogied in their seats and shook their pom poms all around.
Miriam Redman (pictured), aged 102, loves when Laura comes and teaches the Zumba class. She remarked, “You know I have really enjoyed this and its nice to try something new at my age.”
Julie Harrison, Care Home Manager, said, “The Residents love the Zumba class and it is great for them to keep active.”
