Residents at HC-One’s Ashbourne Lodge Care Home in Sunderland enjoyed a visit from some unusual animals when Zoo Lab visited the home.
The team at Ashbourne Lodge organised for Zoo Lab to visit the Residents with their exotic animals including a snake, rat, tortoise, tarantula and even some creepy crawlies such as centipedes and cockroaches.
All Residents loved visiting the animals and for those that were unable to leave their rooms, the Zoo Lab representatives took the animals to them, giving them the opportunity to touch and hold them.
The visit from Zoo Lab was a really enjoyable and therapeutic experience for the Residents and they are looking forward to a future visit from them.
Residents loved everything about the visit but especially enjoyed meeting the snake and Francesca the rat.
