HC-One’s Roseberry Court Care Home in Redcar, Cleveland enjoyed animal assisted therapy today, with a visit from Zoo Lab.
Residents were able to stroke, hold and pet animals that they wouldn’t normally be able to. They really enjoyed their experience, learning all about the different animals, their lifestyles and habitats as well as sharing their experiences with fellow Residents and friends.
Some of the Residents conquered their fears by holding some of the animals, and ended up actually quite enjoying it. Resident Barbara Hebdun commented:
“Oh I’ve really loved petting all those animals today, I’ve shocked myself holding some of them, and it feels really nice.”
Resident Irene Emmerson commented:
“Oh how nice is this, I’ve just woken up to these weird animals, it’s made everyone laugh!”
