Yo ho ho! Pirate afternoon at Grosvenor ParkResidents at HC-One’s Grosvenor Park care home recently enjoyed an exciting afternoon when they experienced a pirate themed day.

The home was decorated with inflatable sharks, mermaids and a pirate ship as everyone had their own inflatable sword. The home raised their pirate flags as they wore their pirate attire and enjoyed the afternoon of excitement.

One Colleague, John, wore full pirate attire as he read poems to the Residents about the adventures of pirates as everyone chatted amongst one another and enjoyed themselves. Everyone also sang pirate sea shanties together as they immersed themselves into the spirit of the pirate theme.

Residents and Colleagues thoroughly enjoyed getting dressed up and involving themselves in the day of excitement.

Jackie O’Callaghan, Home Manager, commented: “Residents have enjoyed themselves so much today, they like to take part in exciting activities and like to sometimes act slightly silly.”
