Yew Trees Raises £79 For Alzheimer’s SocietyMembers of the care team at HC-One’s Yew Trees Care Home in Dukinfield have raised over £79.00 through their ‘Elf for a day’ event which saw staff members dress up for the day.

Staff gowned themselves in elf attire and held a cake sale all in aid of the Alzheimer’s society. They were joined by vocalist, Caroline who entertained Residents with your amazing voice and catalogue of festive songs us whilst Residents enjoyed cake. The afternoon saw a number of Residents take to their feet and dance along! The money raised has been donated to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Helen Johnson, Home Manager, Yew Trees Care Home Manager, said:
“With myself being ‘big elf’ and my team, the place was a Christmas buzz. The Residents enjoyed seeing us dressed up all day and they enjoyed the concert that afternoon. All our Residents have different forms of dementia, this is a very worthy cause that is so close to all our hearts here at Yew Trees”.

HC-One Area Director, Nicola Garner, said:
“Yew Trees’s Elf day sounds great! Organising memorable events like this is an important part of how HC-One provides the kindest care.”
