Residents at HC-One’s Highfield care home took full advantage of the long summer by hosting an action packed garden party for the Yarm community.
Friends and family descended on Highfield for the seasonal celebration, taking part in a tombola and raffle stalls. There was also a coffee morning with home baked cakes and scones, followed by a game of bingo.
Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a buffet lunch whilst the raffle numbers were drawn, followed by cocktails and cake whilst the local singer provided the entertainment with a good old sing-a-long.
Altogether, an amazing £320 was raised for the Resident’s comfort fund.
Highfield’s Home Manager, Carolyn O’Lone commented:
“I’d like to thank everyone who attended and helped out to make our summer fete such a huge success.
It is fantastic how much money was raised on the day by Gill, Highfield’s Wellbeing Co-Ordinator, and her helpers.”
