Worsley care home Residents sail away on canal tripResidents from HC-One’s Worsley Lodge care home in Worsley enjoyed a boat trip on a local canal.

Joined by Residents from fellow HC-One care home Pendleton Court, everyone boarded the boat for a three hour trip along the canal. During the trip, Residents enjoyed the beautiful scenery, fed the ducks, shared stories and ideas for what they would name a barge if they owned one.

After sailing along the canal Residents enjoyed a delicious lunch followed by an ice cream. A great time was had by all with Residents commenting that they loved every minute of the day.

Joan Snapes, a Resident at Worsley Lodge commented:

“This is my favourite day out of the year, it’s always a fantastic experience every time we come. I just love drinking a glass of a champagne in the sunshine as I watch the world go by.”

Worsley Lodge Home Manager, Sarah Lyon said:

“The canal trip is a favourite with the Residents, it’s lovely for them to get out and enjoy the beautiful scenery and tranquil setting.

Thank you to Wellbeing Coordinator, Angela for organising such a wonderful day for our Residents.”
