Wishes do come true at Redcar care homeHC-One’s Roseberry Court’s Care Home in Redcar, Cleveland make Resident Harry Close’s wish come true.

Harry wished that one day he would be able to sing and dance in a choir, which inspired the team at Roseberry Court to organise just that.

Local choir, The Paula Day Choir, jumped at the chance to make Harry’s wish come true. They arranged to perform all of Harry’s favourite songs and those that he is familiar with and even made sure to sing a song that Harry had written and composed himself.

Harry was so excited when the team told him that he would be performing with the choir and when the time came, Harry was presented with a blue dicky bow to wear, as all of the male vocalists wear them.

He looked so proud receiving his bow and looked really smart wearing it. Harry gave a fantastic performance and even got up to dance during the experience, he commented:

“It made me feel so proud and privileged to be able to be part of such a great choir.”

The Paula Day Choir commented:

“It was such a privilege for Harry to sing with us and we do hope he will be able to perform with us soon.”

Roseberry Court’s Home Manager, Alison Corner commented:

“We all felt so proud of Harry for performing with the choir. He looked very happy and proud of himself too!”
