Marian Matthews, a Resident at Park House Care Home in Guisborough, Cleveland, made a wish and the team at the home immediately started organising to make it come true.
On her first week at Park House, Marian saw an entertainment show by Laurie Bennett and really liked his voice and how he interacted with everyone during his performance.
When the team at Park House asked Marian what her three wishes are, she said she would love to hear Laurie perform again.
Last week that wish was granted when Laurie was invited back to the home and Marian was delighted, especially as her daughter was invited to attend the event alongside her.
When Laurie sang the Elvis hit ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ he dedicated it to Marian and sang it to her, before giving her a gentlemanly kiss on the hand.
Marian commented:
“I felt so special and I may even dream about this tonight!”
Residents at Park House love Laurie’s performance so much, that the home has booked him for their Christmas party on 23rd December.
