HC-One’s Roseberry Court Care Home in Redcar, Cleveland has made another Resident’s wish come true.
The team at Roseberry Court found out that Brian Stonehouse wished he could go out on a day’s adventure so they immediately started organising the trip for him.
He was really excited when he found out where he was going and couldn’t wait to arrive at the woods. As soon as they got there, he couldn’t wait to get started and they soon found the bears they were looking for.
Brian enjoyed hiding amongst the trees to see the squirrels going about their daily business and loved looking at all the other wildlife that he found along the way.
When they started to get a little tired they set up camp at a wooden bench and table to enjoy a packed lunch and refreshments together. Whilst eating he enjoyed feeding all of the different birds and commented:
“Oh this place is just amazing and I love the smell of the woods, I am having the best day! The views are fantastic.”
After lunch, they wondered back leisurely where they spotted lots of wild flowers and stopped to appreciate the lovely scenic views.
Roseberry Court’s Home Manager, Alison Corner commented:
“This was a lovely adventure for Brian and he thoroughly enjoyed his day making lots of memories for him to reflect upon.”
