Following World Photography Day, which took place on 19th August, everyone at
HC-One’s Meadow Bank care home, in Bamber Bridge, Preston, has been busy taking part in a competition, and the winners have just been announced!
Staff and residents at the residential, nursing and dementia care home marked World Photography Day by holding a competition for the most striking, beautiful photos. Whether that be photos of residents or colleagues themselves or taken by them.
The residents enjoyed looking at the photos and choosing what to enter into the competition.
Melanie Matthews, Receptionist at Meadow Bank, commented:
“We had some amazing entries, and we just couldn’t decide, so we reached out to our wonderful CEO, James Tugendhat and Managing Director, Rachael Junge to help choose a winner.”
Both Rachael and James chose their favourites and both photos were so amazing that it was collectively decided that they should both receive a prize.
James chose a stunning photo of resident Thomas, who lives in the home’s Sabrina House community and Rachael chose another entry which was a beautiful black and white style photo of Ian, who lives in Meadow Bank’s Beech House community.
Each winning photo will be framed and presented to each residents’ family.
Rachael Junge said about her winner
“I thought it captured happiness and what a wonderful picture for a family member. The gentleman is smiling, and his eyes are smiling too."
