Residents have now had their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine at HC-One’s Avon Court care home in Rowden Hill, Chippenham.
Residents were pleased to take part in the vaccine roll-out because they are now one step closer to returning to normality and eventually being reunited with their families.
One Colleague in particular was a huge help to Residents and set their phobias and concerns at ease.
Kind carer, Ralph Coetzee, left a personal message to each and every Resident at the home with kind words and an inspirational quote.
Vera Benney, a Resident at Avon Court, said: “What a lovely idea. Such a nice thing to do.”
His kind words boosted morale in the home as Residents got their jab. Now everyone is looking to the near future with hope, eager to see their loved ones and take some trips out again soon.
The vaccine is currently being rolled out to Residents and staff in care homes under guidance from the Department of Health.
