At residential, nursing and residential memory care home, Market Lavington, they were over the moon when their new mini bus arrived today.
Originally the wonderful services of the PHAB were used as a way of providing trips out and about for Residents, but the freedom of having their own bus is a great opportunity for everyone involved.
The home already has trips planned to a nearby bluebell wood, and a local farm café, and many other places (Covid restrictions and regulations permitting of course).
Wellbeing Coordinator, Riaz, said, “I’m so glad we have a bus. Our Residents are going to enjoy all the trips we have planned!”
The Residents were full of positive comments too, with Kath saying, “Well, what can I say, marvellous! And with the summer coming too. How delightful!”
Violet added, “It’s great isn’t it. I’m looking forward to going somewhere. The beach, we can have ice cream!”
Emma Wheeler, Care Assistant, said “It’s great to have transport for our Residents. It will add to what we can provide for them in such a positive way!”
Daniel Markham, Housekeeper, commented “It’s a great thing for the Residents to have, and opens up new opportunities.”
