A Colleague at Willow Court care home in Cherry Willingham, Lincoln, was delighted to receive a gold citation for her baking skills at the Lincolnshire Life Taste of Excellence Awards.
A keen baker, Julie entered the Baker and Confectioner category of the competition where she represented her home-based cake design business.
Julie baked a mouth-watering cake, complete with sweet lemon segments and floral decorations.
At the awards, Julie was delighted to receive a gold citation for her efforts; one of her best achievements yet after setting up her business last year.
Residents congratulated Julie on her award, as they are all big fans of the sweet treats she creates for the home’s events, with the next one being for the Christmas Fayre.
Julie said: “After establishing my business last year, I am overjoyed to have received this award and look forward to growing my new venture further. I am sure the Residents at Willow Court will inspire me with lots of ideas for new recipes.”
