Today at
Willow Brook in Nottinghamshire, which offers residential and residential memory care, welcomed two local entertainers Kevin and Marie into their garden.
Kevin and Marie performed in the Willow Brook garden, for all Residents who wanted to attend. They performed a themed show, which today was the swinging sixties, displaying this through songs and different costumes.
Residents got involved by singing along and dancing, which created a feeling of being taken back in time that was much appreciated by everybody in attendance. Colleagues from Willow Brook also all stopped by and got involved with the dancing.
Speaking afterwards, one Resident commented “We really loved the costumes they used and the originality of the performance”. The consensus among the Residents was that the entertainers costumes was the highlight of the show! Another Resident commented “I didn’t realise they did this here, it was brilliant”.
Marie, the Home Manager said afterwards “It is lovely to see the residents really enjoying themselves, and what a lovely day for it”.
