Wigston care home summertime celebrationsHC-One’s Cedar Court care home opened its doors to the local community for a summer party with the Residents and staff.

A fun-filled day was planned for all to enjoy, including live entertainment from local performer Lizzy Rushby, a BBQ lunch and a henna tattoo artist. Residents enjoyed singing along with Lizzy and basking in the sunshine before the BBQ was served.

Visitors and Residents choose beautiful designs and got henna tattoos, some Residents had henna tattoos recently and were eager to get another.

A variety of activities were on offer and all the money raised on the day has gone towards the Resident’s comfort fund.

Darren, a Resident at Cedar Court commented:

“Really loved the food, I was looking forward to the BBQ all week and it did not disappoint.”

Olive, another Resident said:

“The singer was amazing, I sang along to all of the songs she performed. I loved the cheeseburgers and the chicken was very nice, I wish we could do this every day.”
