Residents and Relatives at HC-One’s Magna care home in Wigston were finally reunited with each other after months of being apart due to coronavirus restrictions.
Magna was finally able to open its doors to visits from loved ones for the first time in months. The team spent hours working on the gardens to make sure they had the perfect area to meet with friends and family whilst remaining socially distanced.
Pots were planted with beautiful flowers and a gazebo was installed so that everyone stayed dry.
Linda had lots to talk about with her husband Rodney. Tony who last saw his wife in February arrived with chocolates for her and John and Pat chatted away to Constance.
Residents have been in contact via zoom since the lockdown but all agreed that it’s not the same as seeing someone face to face.
“I've really missed my wife but she always looks happy and the staff have done an amazing job during this difficult time,” said one Relative.
It is amazing for Colleagues to finally see the fruits of all the hard work they have put into making visits a reality again.
Chipo Mupunga , Magna Home Manager said: “It was lovely to see so many smiling faces, even the sun was shining for us.”
