Colleagues at HC-One’s Cedar Court care home in Wigston like the run themed days for Residents and this month, the themed day was based on the seaside.
In the morning the Residents watched a summer holiday the film. For lunch all the Residents had fish and chips from the local fish and chips shop with a selection of condiments. All the Residents enjoyed their fish and chips.
For dessert Residents had their very own ice cream van made by the wellbeing team. A selection of ice creams were available to all Residents such as, chocolate, strawberry, vanilla and mint choc chip. They also had a choice to have it in the cone or a bowl.
All these activities brought back many memories for Residents, who had spent a lot of their younger years on the beach and enjoying summer holidays away.
The feedback for the day was really positive the Residents enjoyed all aspects of the day and would like to do it again.
