Every month, Residents at HC-One’s Westwood Lodge care home in Greater Manchester are swept off to another country on a gourmet adventure.
This month they visited Italy from the comfort of home to test out food and drinks from the country.
Residents were treated to a food trolley full of pizza, garlic bread, tortellini past and tiramisu.
This was all washed down with a glass or two of Italian wine.
Dorothy Beaumont, a Resident at the care home, said: “I love seeing the trolley, the Colleagues always have some great ideas.”
The monthly culinary crusades are a chance for Residents to test out new food and the dishes are an excellent way to spice up life in the care home.
A Wellbeing Coordinator at Westwood Lodge said: “It is lovely to see the Residents trying food that they may not have tried before.”
