White Gables Care Home celebrated Bonfire Night with a spectacular fireworks display on their front lawn on Monday 6th November.
The Residents' home-made guy made an appearance this year as it was too windy for a bonfire last year. We used only category two fireworks which were not too loud or too high for the Residents to see and enjoy.
There were several visitors who came to watch from the outside viewing area including family members and neighbours while Residents chose to watch from the windows in the dining room with the internal lights switched off so as not to distract from the display.
Everyone who attended enjoyed the event, especially Nora Lander who turned 80 years young on the same day, so it was a birthday treat for her too.
