
Residents at
The Orchard care home in Alloa, have been busy recently taking part in lots of new activities. Various activities have taken place across July and August.
Residents have enjoyed days out on the bus too Gartmorn Dam, in Clackmannanshire, Dobbies Garden Centre and The Kelpies.
Also, Residents have enjoyed watching the Commonwealth Games and tried out some of the activities such as swing ball, table tennis and basketball. The games have been fun and were enjoyed by all the Residents.
Residents have also been enjoying the lovely weather by sitting out in the garden enjoying ice cream, milkshakes, and lots of sweet treats. The Residents even enjoyed dipping their feet into the paddling pool to cool down.
Additionally, Residents loved watching a fantastic gymnastics show from Hillfoot Gymnastics Club. They gymnasts were doing all sorts of tricks and the Residents were so amazed at how cool it was.
One Resident, commented, “We have had a lovely time recently and I especially enjoyed watching the gymnastics show. The local Hillfoot team were brilliant.”
Fiona Johnstone, Care Home Manager, remarked, “It is nice to see the community coming together and putting the gymnastics show on for the Resident. Thank you Suzanne our chef for organising this for us all.”
