Westvale care home Colleagues ‘breakout’ in LiverpoolColleagues at Kirkby House took part in an exciting activity recently when they attended ‘Breakout’ – a live escape room game.

Individuals who take part in the activity are placed into a locked room for 60 minutes, in which they must find a way to escape by solving puzzles and finding clues.

Ten Colleagues – the Home Manager, Deputy Manager, Senior Care staff, the Chef and Domestic staff - took part in two different activity rooms, as they split up into two teams, with one team managing to break out of the room and win the game.

Everyone was able to raise a total of over £700 to go towards the Residents comfort fund, which is an amazing acheivement for the home, many of the staff who took part remarked how they would like to take part in something similar again in the future, as it was a great team building exercise.

Home Manager, Tracy Conlin, commented: “it was a fantastic day for a wonderful cause, we have raised so much support and had such a fun filled time.”
