Westmoor View enjoys success at Summer FeteResidents, relatives and the team at HC-One’s Westmoor View Care Home in Marton-in-Cleveland, Middlesbrough have all pulled together for a fun and successful summer fete, where the sun shone throughout.

There were plenty of activities planned, children’s games, a bouncy castle, hook-a-duck stall, pin the tail on the donkey and a balloon pop with fabulous prizes for all who participated.

And what is a Summer Fete without the classics? A raffle, tombola, bric-a-brac as well as name the soft toy and the number of sweets in the jar kept everyone amused.

Local dog rescue charity, Greyhound Rescue and Co-Ordinated Emergencies (GRACE) also came along to raise awareness with their two rescue dogs, who were a massive hit with the visitors.

An array of refreshments were laid out for the guests, including strawberries and cream, hot dogs, ice cream and of the highlight of any Westmoor View event – the cake stall.

An amazing £530 was raised in total, £400 of which is for the Residents’ fund, whilst the other £130 was raised for the Greyhound rescue.

All of the staff joined in to make sure that everyone had an amazing day, and in the true spirit of a community, many brought along their older children to help run the stalls and games.

Westmoor View’s Home Manager, Caroline Pocklington commented:

“It was such a fantastic day and it was great to see everyone, from the Residents to our team’s children, joining in together and enjoying themselves.

A huge thank you to everyone involved.”
