This month at The Westbury residential and nursing care home, Colleagues and Residents took a cruise ship to India; well… virtually, of course!
Everyone was taking in all the beautiful scenery and the culture and having a virtual tour guide of special places of interest which included visiting the local markets and learning about their cuisine
The lounge was decorated with an Indian theme; flags and balloons and bunting to celebrate all things to do with India
Ten Residents joined for the afternoon virtual trip and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon tea, where they had a taste from India as part of the chef’s monthly country cuisines at lunchtime.
One of the Residents said, “I really enjoyed watching the travel guide which showed all the beautiful buildings and the architecture.”
Another Resident said her father was stationed in India with the British army and found it particularly interesting.
Dana Sandu, Care Home Manager, commented, “Once again we all enjoyed the experience of visiting and taking in the different cultures of countries round the world.”
