As a treat for the Residents at Bellefield Court care home in Merseyside, staff organised an afternoon tea on a very sunny Friday afternoon.
The dining room was decorated with white tablecloths, floral napkins and tableware for high tea. Each table had a menu displaying the selection and beautiful ornate three tier cake stands. These stands were generously donated from the team at Liverpool Arts Bar.
Residents were served a variety of sandwiches and savoury pastries, scones with clotted cream and jam and a selection of cakes, pastries and tarts. Jazz music was playing and the tea was flowing!
Residents love being made to feel special and doing something a bit different. One of the Residents, Winnie said it felt like being somewhere like The Ritz and was very thankful.
Home Manager, Jacqueline D Bridge, commented, “It was lovely to see the residents all enjoy a treat and feeling special”.
