Wellbeing Coordinator wins The Activity Coordinator Award Category at the Great British Care AwardsHayley Sandison, Wellbeing Coordinator at HC-One’s Clarendon Hall in Humberston, Grimsby, a 49-bed residential and nursing care home, was crowned for The Activity Coordinator Award Category at the East Midlands Region of the Great British Care Awards 2022.

The awards ceremony took place at the East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham on Thursday 3rd November 2022 to recognise excellence across the sector and pay tribute to people who have demonstrated outstanding excellence in the field.

Hayley was recognised by the judges for her dedication to activities for the Residents at the care home, which cover mind, body and soul. She plans an array of different activities on a regular basis such as chair-based exercise classes, crafts and quizzes, parties and plenty of trips out for Residents. Hayley also works hard to build up relationships between Clarendon Hall and the local community and has a close partnership with church services and the local farm. 

Commenting on her win, Hayley commented: 
“I am thrilled to win this award and what a wonderful evening at the ceremony. My top priority is making sure that the Residents at Clarendon Hall have a range of different activities to join in with and can continue to maintain their hobbies and interests, and for this to be recognised by the Great British Care Awards is just amazing. Thank you so much!”

Nicola Walker, Care Home Manager at Clarendon Hall, added:
“This award is very well-deserved. We are lucky to have Hayley as our Wellbeing Coordinator and I know that many Residents look forward to her weekly plan of activities. This is truly wonderful for our home. Well done, Hayley!”

The Great British Care Awards National Finals 2023, will take place on 17th March 2023, at the ICC in Birmingham.
