A Resident at HC-One’s Defoe Court Care Home in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham has received a Certificate of Achievement for the improvements he’s made since taking part in weekly exercise classes.
Brian Shield has attended Jerome’s exercise sessions ever since he first arrived at Defoe Court, along with 10 other Residents.
Jerome visits the home every Monday where he helps the Residents to build up their strength through various exercises, so that they can become as independent as possible.
Before taking part in these classes, Brian was unstable on his feet and required support from the staff when walking but now, thanks to Jerome, he is delighted to be able to walk independently.
Brian commented:
“Thank you so much for this award, I’m so happy with it and that I can now walk independently, without support from the team here.”
