On Wednesdays, the Residents at Dingle Meadow care home are treated to a luxurious pamper; they have their hair done, and some even like the occasional nail manicure and polish.
A Colleague at Dingle Meadow commented on how she styles the hair for some of the Residents, “I wash their hair and spray mousse for it to set when blow drying and then many people ask for curling tongs putting through, giving it some bounce. A final spray of the hair to finish and the final result is always pleasing”.
A large proportion of the Residents at the home are involved in Wednesday Hairday and enjoy looking after themselves. One Resident commented, “It is brilliant coming to get my hair done and I am very relaxed. The curling tongs give my hair a good revamp.”
Residents are very happy with the way they look after their appoinment and most enjoy a very satisfying cup of tea and a biscuit to finish, saying how pampered and fresh they feel.
