Wednesbury care home hosts open dayHC-One’s Dovedale Court in Wednesbury, welcomed the local community to celebrate the sixth annual Care Home Open Day in style on 21st April.

The choirs sang ‘You Are My Sunshine’ at the same time, creating a ‘Big Sing’ that brings HC-One homes across the country together in unison.

The family of HC-One homes across the UK took part in activities throughout the day, with Dovedale Court welcoming over 100 people throughout the day. A variety of activities were on offer including a tombola, armchair Zumba, hook a duck, face painting, ice cream van, fancy dress, cocktail hour.

Visitors included Wednesbury Ladies Choir, local historian Ian Bott, entertainer Simon Ore and local councillor. Dovedale Court managed to raise over £400 for the Residents fund from the day and they are still collecting more funds.
