Wedding celebrations were underway at Daisy Nook care home as Resident Jean attended her son’s big day in Hyde.
Daisy Nook Home Manager, Tracey Denton, and Wellbeing Coordinator, Lindsey Chalmers, accompanied Jean to the wedding of her son Philip and wife Dawn.
Jean dressed up in her new clothes as the excitement rose for the big day ahead. Upon arriving at the venue, Jean was greeted by friends, family and was very taken aback with how lovely her grandchildren looked in their wedding suits and dresses.
After the service, guests enjoyed a lovely three course meal and Jean even had a glass of wine to celebrate.
Jean commented that she was very glad she could attend the wedding and that it was lovely to catch up with people she hadn’t seen in years.
Tracey Denton said: “Lindsey and I were delighted to accompany Jean to her son’s wedding day. It’s lovely to be involved in such special occasions, as it’s great to see Jean enjoying a day which she will treasure forever.”
