This month at Murrayfield in Edinburgh, which offers residential, nursing and dementia care, Residents and Colleagues have been fund raising for Wear It Pink Day.
Residents and Colleagues have come together with their fundraising efforts, Colleagues wore their favourite pink items of clothing to work and donated for the privilege to do so.
There was also a bake sale, which was the first one in a couple of years, to also aid with the fundraising. Relatives and Residents both enjoyed the sale, with many sweet treats on offer. There was also a raffle arranged which had some fantastic hamper prizes.
In total the home has raised a whopping £413.90 for the charity! Residents enjoyed the whole affair and had a lovely afternoon tea party, which was where the raffle was drawn. Many Residents said afterwards they are very much looking forward to the next fundraiser. Kathleen, a Resident at Murrayfield said, “What a wonderful afternoon, thank you so much for organising this for us”.
Mandy, the Home Manager commented afterwards, “I am so proud of all of the staff and Residents, what a fantastic fundraiser!”
