Waterside Care Home Celebrates International Women's DayWaterside Care Home marked International Women's Day with a heartwarming celebration that honoured the incredible women in our home. To show their appreciation, the home prepared and distributed a single rose to each female resident, adorned with an inspiring quote as a token of thanks.

In a spirit of unity, staff and some visiting relatives wore purple to commemorate the occasion. The dedicated wellbeing staff and management team personally handed out the roses along with glasses of prosecco, ensuring that both our female residents and visiting female staff and relatives were included in the festivities.
The highlights of the day were truly touching, as many residents became emotional when receiving their roses. Some expressed their surprise at the effort made to celebrate the day, remarking on how meaningful the gesture was.

Kelly Wood, Nursing Assistant, shared her thoughts: "It was lovely to see the home appreciating and recognizing the women in our home, and it was especially moving to see the residents so overwhelmed with emotion and so thankful."

Kerry Smith, Deputy Manager, added: "It was lovely sharing meaningful conversations with all of our female residents and making their day special."

The celebration was a beautiful reminder of the strength, resilience, and importance of the women who are a part of the Waterside Care Home community.
