Wallasey Colleagues walk to raise money for Residents

Celebrations were in order at HC-One’s Leighton Court care home, in Wallasey, Wirral, as two Colleagues went above and beyond to help raise money for the benefit of Residents living at their home. 

Healthcare Assistant, Matthew ‘Matt’ Evans and Wellbeing Coordinator, Lisa Warrington, who both work at the 47-bed residential and nursing care home decided that they wanted to challenge themselves in aid of raising money for the home’s Residents Fund. 

On Saturday 25th February, the duo took up the challenge of completing a staggering 15km sponsored walk, which consisted of different locations around the Wirral.

And the hard work paid off, with £200 made which will be put towards the Residents comfort fund and used for activities, events, trips and goodies in the coming weeks and months. 

Jane Monger, Home Administrator, and Anne Lewis, Care Home Manager, both stated that they were very proud of Matt and Lisa’s achievement and that it will really help to benefit Residents at the home.
