Wakefield Residents enjoy a trip out to the local garden centreResidents at Snapethorpe Hall care home in Wakefield, had lots of fun taking a trip to the local gardening centre.

Neil, the Maintenance Operative, got the minibus ready for the Residents and set off on the journey to the local garden centre in Carr Gate to pick out some lovely new plants for the garden.

Along with the Residents, staff members, Holly the Activities Coordinator, Vanessa a Senior Care Assistant and Stephanie a Care Assistant were excited for a lovely day out.

The Residents were happy look at all of the plants and flowers. They all chose their favourite to take home. Beryl was keen to get some of the pretty fuchsias. Kath and Liz picked a lavender plant, hot lips and carnations.

After having a look around at all the plants, the Residents sat down and had a lovely cup of coffee and scone. The scones were covered in lashes of cream and jam. They were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

Gemma Leach, Care Home Manager, commented, “The Residents love taking a trip out to the gardening centre, they had such a fantastic time.”
