Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Roxburgh House care home enjoyed an exciting trip recently as they visited the local Halfpenny Green Wine Estate.
Everyone was guided on a tour of the vineyard estate, taking in the beautiful scenery and enjoying the sensory experience of the wonderful smells.
During the visit, everyone enjoyed looking around the gift shops at the various trinkets and gift items, before going to enjoy a delicious lunch together.
The lunch, held in the restaurant, was remarked as being beautiful, with some enjoying fish dishes, and others enjoying soup.
To end the day, Residents requested to go to the local pub on the way home, where they each enjoyed a small tipple and recalled the day, discussing their favourite aspects of the vineyard trip.
Linda Wilkes, home manager, commented: “Today was lovely, everyone had such a wonderful time and we hope to do something like this again soon.”
