Residents at HC-One’s
Dingle Meadow care home in Oldbury enjoyed the day decorating the home, singing along to classic British songs and eating some lovely food.
During this years VE Day celebrations, Residents got involved with the preparation as much as they could because the wanted to help out the staff. Flags, poppies and buntings were draped across walls throughout the home and the celebrations were ready to being.
Throughout the day, Residents enjoyed singing along to classic war time songs such as Vera Lynn, We’ll Meet Again and The White Cliffs of Dover.
Later in the day, Residents then enjoyed some lovely afternoon tea, with cakes, scones and hot tea on offer. Residents then enjoyed a little dance and a small tipple of wine or beer.
Residents thoroughly enjoyed the day, which they helped prepare for and the variety of the activities they took part in.
