Today at Burnley’s residential, nursing, residential dementia and nursing dementia care home, Residents had a lovely time enjoying a wartime themed tea party in recognition of VE Day.
There was an assortment of cakes to choose from and wartime music playing in the background. Afterwards everyone enjoyed a singsong to all the wartime favourite songs.
Residents including Brenda Fransfield and Vera Kennedy, both pictured, enjoyed the assortment of cakes and the singsong with one saying, “I really enjoyed it!”
Catherine Brierley, Care Home Manager, commented, “It was lovely to see the Residents enjoying themselves.”
