Joyce Millett, Resident of Roseberry Court, wished that she could enjoy a lovely three course meal with her daughter Deborah on Valentine’s Day.
The care staff all got together and made Joyce’s wish come true. They decorated the lounge with bunting, balloons and roses for them both to enjoy in private together.
As well as having the table decorated with various Valentine’s themed decorations, there was also a selection of wines and heart shaped flumps for Joyce and Deborah to enjoy.
Joyce chose the menu herself and light music was played throughout in. They started with chicken soup and heart shaped bread, followed by salmon, new potatoes cooked in herbs and salad and finally, strawberry cheesecake for dessert.
Both Joyce and Deborah thanked everyone for their hard work and commented that it was the best fish they had had for a long time.
Joyce was over the moon that her wish had come true and that she could spend the quality time with her daughter.
