Residents and staff at HC-One’s Stoneleigh care home in Stanley celebrated Valentine’s Day on Friday 14th February with a love-themed bake sale.
Everyone at Stoneleigh was surprised with a single red rose, which brought a smile to the face of many, before Residents and staff welcomed visitors for a special Valentine’s Day bake sale, name the teddy competition and a raffle. The day was a success, with the home managing to raise almost £200 for the Resident’s Comfort Fund.
Residents thanked the team for helping to make their day extra special, with one Resident commenting: “I’ve never been given a red rose before, it was such a lovely surprise.”
