Ukulele performance strikes the right chord with St Clare’s CourtResidents at St Clare’s Court in Newton Aycliffe were delighted to welcome a colourful performance from a local ukulele band at the home.

The band turned up in colourful attire to sing a number of classic hits, which Residents enjoyed singing along to.

The performance particularly impressed Joe, a Resident at the home who is currently learning how to play the ukulele. He was delighted to receive an offer from band member Dawn, who said she would visit him again for a few music lessons.

Mr Armstrong, a Resident at St Clare’s Court, said: “The show took me back a long time as I used to see ukulele bands perform when I was younger.”

Michelle Jones, Home Manager, said: “Everyone really loved the ukulele performance. It was great to see everyone smiling and clapping along to the songs.”
