A competition winner at
Highgate, nursing and nursing memory care home, in Uddington, is very happy as she receives an excellent prize.
A Memory Calendar was up for grabs, it is called the ‘Golden Days Calendar’ by artist Trevor Mitchell. The calendar raises money for the Dementia Together Magazine and Alzheimer’s Society.
Karen Clelland, Wellbeing Coordinator, entered the competition to win a calendar on behalf of one of the Residents.
Mary Morrison, a Resident at Highgate, was in need of a new calendar for her room. Mary spends a lot of time in her room and tries to make it as homely as possible.
Excellent news for Mary as she was named runner up in the competition and she got her very own calendar for her room.
Mary was so thankful for the calendar, and she said, “Thank you, this has made my day, you have really thought about me.” Mary enjoyed looking at all the nostalgic images in the calendar and has put it up in her room.
Charlene Curtis, Care Home Manager, remarked, “Mary loved her calendar, and it is now pride of place in her room.”
