Trooping the colour celebrations at Avalon ParkResidents of Avalon Park celebrated the Queen’s official birthday by watching the Trooping of the Colour, before enjoying a special afternoon tea in their teashop.  It was a lovely way to spend the day and everyone had a wonderful time with friends and family.

The Residents really enjoyed watching the ceremony and it was a treat to get to see the royal newlyweds make their first appearance as they had all watched the royal wedding.  It was a patriotic day as we Residents waved flags.

Residents also enjoyed a royal afternoon tea party, where the fine china was laid out and delicious cake and treats were on offer.

Renu Kataria, Care Home Manager, commented:

“At Avalon Park, we are always looking for exciting events and activities that Residents can take part in and watch.   As part of this, we have also launched our very own wishing tree where Residents can submit their wishes and we make them come true”
