Treasured Memories prompts Residents to reminisceResidents Teresa, Mary, Alec, Ted and Derek from HC-One’s Jack Dormand Care Home in Horden, Peterlee, enjoyed a festive day Christmas shopping and a reminiscent afternoon playing board game, Treasured Memories.

Everyone enjoyed looking around The Bridges Shopping Centre in Sunderland, buying Christmas presents for their loved ones and browsing the decorations on display.

After a pit stop at the Harvester for lunch and a little tipple, the Residents gathered in the main dining room at Jack Dormand to play the board game Treasured Memories.

Sheena, Bella, Betty, Mary, Ted, Charlie and his wife Pauleen all gathered for a glass of Prosecco whilst playing the game. They each took a turn rolling the dice and moving their counters, where they had to answer a question about the past.

This activity allowed them to think back and reminisce on their memories and prompted the group to chat about each other’s treasured memories, which was enjoyed by everyone.
