Trauma Teddies bring comfort to the local communityWhen local police officers approached HC-One’s Woodside Court Care Home in Glenrothes, Fife, and asked them if they could help the local community, everyone jumped at the opportunity.

Trauma Teddies, originally started in Australia, bring comfort to children who are going through a difficult or distressing time and police forces across the UK are appealing to the local community for help in creating them.

Fife police officers paid a visit to Woodside Court to see if they could knit or crochet any Trauma Teddies. Luckily, our Residents are great knitters and along with Home Manager Beba Graham’s Nan, they produced 30 teddies in all different colours.

The local police officers were thrilled with the teddies and thanked Woodside Court for helping the local children in Fife when are they are going through hard times.

Mr David Law, a Resident at Woodside Court, commented:

“I think the teddies are really cute and we’re so happy we could do something to help the local community.”
