Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Warrens Hall care home enjoyed an afternoon of celebration as they enjoyed National Fish and Chips Day.
Everyone sat to enjoy fish and chips with peas, cockles and pickled eggs from their local fish and chip shop. Residents sat outside in the courtyard enjoying the sunshine together whilst they ate their lunch, which was served in traditional chip shop paper.
The Residents were able to share many happy memories they had of the fish and chips they would enjoy as a child, memories brought on by the traditional paper.
Refreshing beverages were also enjoyed with lunch, including Dandelion and Burdock, which was a firm favourite in the home. Music was played as everyone enjoyed singing along to their favourite songs.
Kalmit Jagpal, Home Manager, commented: “Everyone has thoroughly enjoyed themselves today, it’s been lovely to listen to the childhood memories our Residents have.”
