Residents from HC-One’s Waterside nursing home in Tipton were visited by the local mobile petting zoo and enjoyed a lovely time with the animals.
Gill, who runs the zoo, visited with a; hedgehog, Bengal cat, owl, chinchilla and various other animals.
Residents June, Dot, Audrey, Vera and Marion in particular were surrounded by the animals for a couple of hours and they really enjoyed petting and learning about them with Gill.
Waterside Home Manager Amanda Rowley said: “The afternoon was really something different for the Residents and I could tell they really enjoyed it, I even had a few holds myself!”
After the Residents had finished holding the animals, even the Relatives, Colleagues and well-being co-ordinators were getting involved and would love for Gill and the gang to come back some time in the future.
